This is Sabian, who is one of the first six people that we featured on our new YouTube channel, “Everyone Is Gay: Your Stories.”

Having the opportunity to come and meet so many of you is an incredible experience, and we are so, so excited to continue to grow this project and highlight your personal stories as yet another way of bringing us all that much closer together in our efforts.

Hi Gaybees!

A few months ago, a girl named Laura wrote to us and was like, “Oh, hey…I like what you guys do and I happen to be amazing and wonderful and awesome and have the ability to PRINT SHIRTS FROM MY BASEMENT, maybe I could help you with your merchandise??”  She actually was much more modest, but you get the point.

Dannielle and I were pretty excited about the idea, and Laura sent us a couple of test designs so we could ensure that she wasn’t going to be using sharpie or glitter glue…because you never know, right?  One of her “test” designs was the image of our stupid laughing heads, which we fell in love with (#conceited) and decided to use as one of our two new shirts!

Since that day, Laura has helped us figure out which shirts would be the best, how to format the designs so that they ruled the hardest, and on top of it all was nice enough to send us these incredible pictures of the process that brings these shirts into existence.

We love her and you should love her, because…how effing cool is it that instead of coming from a giant factory where no one thinks too much about the shirt they are making, these shirts are made by an awesome individual who actually cares about the fight that we are all fighting?!?!

We think that it’s pretty special.

I Am The Unknown, Sticker & Buttons!!

As I mentioned last week, sooo many of you submitted beautiful designs to our “I am the unknown” t-shirt competition.  After deciding on Gwynna’s awesome design for the tee, we chose three other designs to create new stickers and buttons from!  They are below, and will be launched for sale by the end of the month.

MERCH MARCH MADNESS!

First, the most adorable sticker in the universe created by the lovely Maya:

Eep!!  This little skateboarder will be printed on a 4.25” x 2.75” vinyl sticker.  You can congratulate Maya and tell her how much she rules on twitter!

Up next, a 1.5” button with the best lion ever drawn in the history of lions, by the talented Suzanne:

WINNER, WINNER, WINNER! Well, you guys, it finally happened.  We placed all of your incredible, edible designs into our machine made of stardust and rainbows, and lo-and-behold, a winner has been chosen! The lovely Gwynna submitted this design, where the letters spelling out “I am the unknown” look out through the windows of a cityscape, and we love it to bits and pieces.  We hope you agree. Additionally, it is important to mention the always illustrious Kristine Thune, who performed art directorial duties, prepped the art for printing, colored inside of the lines, and is an overall ray of hope and sunshine.  Check out her awesomeness here!
